Overbookings

Setup Overbooking Status

 

  1. Click Tools > Logistics > Status > Bookings.
  2. Select <New Item>.
  3. Enter Overbooked into Status.
  4. Check Count as Waitlist.
  5. Optionally enable colors.
  6. Click OK to save.

 

Configure system and associate Customer #

 

  1. In the Address Book, create a new customer or find an existing customer for Overbookings to be assigned.
    Note the Customer #.
  2. Click File > Configuration > System > Bookings (tab) > Bookings (button).
  3. Check to enable the Over Bookings section.
  4. Enter the Customer # in the text box and select the Overbooked status.
  5. Click OK to save.

 

Create an overbooking (Method #1 – Unknown customer)

 

  1. From the main window, click New Booking.
  2. In the Find Schedules window, search for a routing.
  3. Highlight one of the routes and click Overbooked.
    The screen for flash for a moment and you will see +1 in the Waiting List (WL) column.

 

Create an overbooking (Method #2 – Known customer)

 

  1. In the Address Book, find and load the customer file.
  2. Click the Bookings tab.
  3. Click New.
  4. In the Find Schedules window, search for a routing.
  5. Highlight one of the routes and click Overbooked.
    The screen for flash for a moment and you will see +1 in the Waiting List (WL) column.

 

Verify the overbookings

 

  1. From the Schedules tab in the main window find the flight(s) which were overbooked.
    You may need to use the Schedule Filter.
  2. Open the manifest for the flight and you will see the overbookings which were created.

    The overbooking created directly from the Address Book will have their customer name.
    The overbooking created from the New Booking without going through the Address Book will have the name of the Customer # which was pre-defined in the system configuration.
